Announcement from the
coaches(3/24/09): Attention all swimmers! Our
Methacton High School coaches will be offering two competitive swim
clinics in the spring and summer of 2009. All practices will take
place at the Methacton High School pool. Each clinic will focus on
technique, sprint, endurance, turns and starts. The clinics
will both be offered for current 7th-12th graders as well as Methacton
graduates. The second clinic will have an emphasis placed on
strength training. Swimmers may sign up for one or both of
the clinics.
Clinic 1 (Course 615) Dates: April 14th - June 5th
Cost: $170
Times: 3:30pm - 5:00pm (when school is in session)
Clinic 2 (Course 616) Dates: June 15th - July 17th
Cost: $125
Times: 7:00am - 9:00am (M-F)
Registration may be done by mail or at the Activities Office located at
the Farina Education Center. To register by mail, complete the
registration form found here:

and mail it with your
check to the Activities Office. Please include a separate check for each
class selection. |

(March
18, 2009) What an awesome banquet last night and what a great way
to wrap-up the 2008-2009 season.
Our team is donating $500 to the Variety Club with some of the proceeds
from the Swimathon.
We wish all of our Seniors success in the next phase of their lives and
hope that they enjoy the rest of their senior year. Come back and
visit us next year and we will miss all of you!!!

Kinsey beats her seed time by over one second with a swim of 1:07.03 in
the 100 Yard Breaststroke at States! Blaire finished in 18th
place at the morning session, congrats! |

Warriors set new Methacton
School Record at States! The Boys 200 Freestyle
Relay Team of Haydon Wyatt, Mike McBride, Jason Galletta and Kyle Magee
swim a time of 1:27.71 to finish in 16th place! The team
will be swimming again tonight in the Consolations. Congrats
Haydon, Mike, Jason and Kyle, the old record had stood since 1998!

Hey
Parents and Friends of Methacton Swimming, how about a Road Trip? Our
Warriors and Lady Warriors have a couple of away meets coming up.
On Tuesday, February 3rd, the team travels to PV @ 7:00pm to face
the PAC10 Perk Valley Vikings. On Wednesday, February 4th,
the team travels to Norristown @ 3:30pm to face the Suburban One
Norristown Eagles. Come on out and support the team as they take
to the road! |

Attention 8th Grade Students
planning to attend Methacton High School next year! If you
are interested in swimming or diving for our amazing Warriors and
Lady Warriors, come on out to our meet on Tuesday, February 10th @
3:30 at the High School pool. Meet our awesome coaches,
watch our team in action, ask any questions that you have about
the program and enjoy some refreshments. We will be also honoring

Announcing the 2009 Perk
Valley Invitational. This meet replaces the League Meet that we
used to have in the Suburban One League. The meet is for
both men and women's teams who participate in the PAC-10 and the
Ches-Mont leagues and will be held on Saturday, February 14, 2009.

We have scheduled a professional photographer named Donna Archer for two
home meets. The first meet is the Jan. 27th meet against Boyertown
and the second meet is the Upper Perk meet (Senior Night) on Feb. 10th.

Warriors and Lady Warriors won on the road against Pennridge yesterday.
The Girls won by a score of 110-75 and the Boys won by a score of
108-78. The team is going into Peak Training and our Dual Meet
schedule will resume in January. |

Methacton Swimming is off to a great start this year with the 2008 Upper
Merion Relay Carnival held last night. Congratulations to our Lady
Warriors for defending their title with a First Place finish and to our
Warriors for a strong Second Place finish. Both the Boys and Girls
teams showed outstanding talent and determination in a strong field of

Warriors and Lady Warriors tamed the Lehigh River on Sunday, September
14th with an awesome Whitewater Rafting trip! Thanks to Sue
Tierney for organizing the trip, to Coach Yoder and Coach
Nesensohn and to the parents who did the trip and were still sore 3 days
later!
