Welcome to the Methacton High School Swimming and Diving website. This is your source of information about the team, messages from our coaches, season news, Parents Club and fundraisers.

Attention Summer Swimmers:  Registration for the North Penn Trophy Meet on Sat., July 19, 2008 is approaching.  Please see Coach Nesensohn or Coach Yoder at morning swim if you are interested.

Announcement from the Coaches (5/29/08):  Attention all swimmers:  Miss registration for summer swimming? We will have a second registration for the Methacton Summer Swimming Program on Thursday, June 5th from 4:30pm - 5:30pm at the MHS pool.   We are already looking forward to the 2008-2009 season in the PAC 10.  Also, please note that there is not an additional fee to join the Methacton Aquatic Club (MAC) for this summer programDetails of the program below on this page.

5/21/08:  Andrew Gerland signs letter of intent with the College of Charleston and Kristen Rodman signs letter of intent with Penn State!  Our Senior Co-Captains will continue their swimming careers with major colleges.  Check-out the coverage in The Times Herald @ article by Matt Bretzius posted on the News Tab. 
Congratulations Andrew and Kristen, we are very, very proud of both of you!
Announcement from the coaches (5/14/08): Attention all swimmers:  Registration for the Methacton Summer Swimming Program will be on Tuesday, May 20th from 4:30pm to 6:30pm at the MHS pool.  Program Highlights:

This open swim will focus on endurance, strength training (dry land) and technique training (starts, turns, drills).  Open swim is open to 7th-12th grade and Methacton alumni boy and girl swimmers in the Methacton community.

Sessions will take place at Markley Farms Swim Club, 5 days a week (Mondays - Fridays). 
Open swim will run from June 16th - August 1st from 7:00am - 9:00am.  Strength training will take place 9:00am - 10:00am on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays.  Swimmers will need athletic shoes (no sandals), water bottles and workout clothes (no jeans please).

Summer Program Fees:  $150 per swimmer

Checks should be made out to Methacton Aquatic Club (MAC) and must be brought to registration.
If you would like to purchase the swimming DVD that Molly and Michelle made for the Banquet, please email Molly by May 4th.  The approximate cost will be $5 and the media will actually be a CD that can be played on your computer. 
The Record Boards (on the Records Tab) have been updated for the 2007 - 2008 season.  Congrats again to all of our Warriors and Lady Warriors on an amazing season.

Announcement from the coaches:   Attention all swimmers:  Coach Nesensohn will be holding a spring open swim for both Boys and Girls that will begin on April 14th and will run from 2:45-4:15 pm.  Middle school swimmers are also invited to the open swim and will need to complete some paperwork.  Information regarding summer swimming will be posted as soon as it is available.

Summary of States: (as of 11:30pm, 3/13/08)   Warriors shatter records!!!   5 School Records set at 2008 States!
Blaire Kinsey
, Sam Lawley, Michelle Konkoly and Kristen Rodman break their own School Record set earlier in the day to finish 12th in the 400 Free Relay. The Lady Warriors put up a time of 3:36.58.
Andrew Gerland
finishes 14th in the 100 Free with a time of 47.93!  Andrew's time is third on the Methacton Record Boards.
Kristen Rodman
sets new School Record of 52.29 in the 100 Free while finishing in 10th Place! The old record was held by Kristi Borkowski and was set in 2002.  Kristi, now an assistant coach Hatboro Horsham, was on hand to witness Kristen's new record.
Blaire Kinsey
finishes in 12th Place in the 100 Yard Breaststroke beating her seed time with a time of 1:07.18!

Blaire Kinsey, Sam Lawley, Michelle Konkoly and Kristen Rodman move up from the 17th seed to finish 10th in the 400 Free Relay Preliminaries! The relay team sets a new School Record of 3:36.91 and is swimming again tonight!

 finishes 13th in the 100 Free with a time of 52.77 and is swimming again tonight!

Andrew Gerland finishes 11th in the 100 Free with a time of 47.72 and is swimming again tonight!

Andrew Gerland sets new School Record of 52.08 in the 100 Fly!  The old record had stood since 1983! Andrew finishes 11th in the Finals!
Blaire Kinsey, Erika Rodman, Michelle Konkoly and Kristen Rodman set new School Record of 1:38.62 in the 200 Free Relay! The old record had stood since 2005 and Collette Keene, a member of the 2005 record team, was present to witness the event.  The relay team brought home the hardware by finishing 8th in the Finals!
Kristen Rodman finishes 12th in the 50 Free with another personal best time of 24.32!

Blaire Kinsey moves up from the 23rd seed in the 200 IM to finish 20th!
Kristen Rodman moves up from the 18th seed in the 50 Free to finish 13th in the Preliminaries! Kristen has a personal best time of 24.41 and is swimming again tonight!
The Girls 200 Free Relay of Blaire Kinsey, Erika Rodman, Michelle Konkoly and Kristen Rodman move up from the 14th seed  to finish 8th in the Preliminaries! The relay team sets a season best time of 1:39.32 and is swimming again tonight!
Andrew Gerland finishes 13th in the 100 Fly with a time of 52.50 and is swimming again tonight!

Kristen Rodman placed 4th in the 50 Free and is going to States!
Blaire Kinsey placed 4th in the 100 Breaststroke and is going to States!
Andrew Gerland placed 2nd in the 100 Fly and is going to States!
Kristen Rodman placed 9th in the 100 Free and is going to States!
Blaire Kinsey placed 7th in the 200 IM and is going to States!
Andrew Gerland placed 6th in the 100 Free and is going to States!
The Girls 200 Free Relay Team of Blaire Kinsey, Erika Rodman, Michelle Konkoly and Kristen Rodman placed 5th and is going to States!
The Girls 400 Free Relay Team of Blaire Kinsey, Sam Lawley, Michelle Konkoly and Kristen Rodman placed 6th and is going to States!  The team set a new Methacton School Record of 3:38.05 breaking the old mark that had stood for 28 years!
The Boys 200 Free Relay Team of Will Brown, Haydon Wyatt, Ben Lohse and Andrew Gerland placed 9th.
The Boys 400 Free Relay Team of Andrew Gerland, Ben Lohse, Alex Pfluger and Will Brown placed 10th.

Congratulations to all of our Warriors who competed at Districts and to Kristen, Blaire, Andrew, Erika, Sam and Michelle for advancing to States!

Our Warriors show their support for our Lady Warriors at Girls Leagues on February 16th - The House was Jumping!
Lady Warriors takes 2nd Place at the Girls Swimming Leagues with a Team Score of 222!  Many swimmers drop their season best times.   Congratulations!

Blaire Kinsey takes 1st in the 100 Breaststroke and 2nd in the 200IM.

Kristen Rodman takes 2nd in the 50 Free and 2nd in the 100 Free.

Sam Lawley takes 3rd in the 100 Fly.

Blaire Kinsey, Erika Rodman, Michelle Konkoly and Kristen Rodman take 2nd in the 200 Free Relay and 2nd in the 400 Free Relay.

Kelly Anne Tierney qualifies for Districts in the 200 Free and Sam Lawley qualifies for Districts in the 200 IM.
Warriors take 4th place at the Boys Swimming Leagues with a Team Score of 194!  Many swimmers qualify for Districts, details to follow.  Many swimmers also drop their season best times.  Congratulations!

Reminder until Leagues

Boys Leagues are February 15th with a 5:00pm warm-up
and a 6:00pm start.

Girls Leagues starts 15 hours later on Feb. 16th with an
8:00am warm-up and a 9:00am start.

Boys Diving Leagues starts 48 hours earlier on Feb. 13th.

Girls Diving Leagues starts 24 hours earlier on Feb. 14th.
